We are trying to integrate BI and PI.Please assist in solving following doubts.
1. For creating the source system I have put the logical system name of PI client.Is that correct?since PI system is no where mapped to BI
2.I have created web service source system after putting the logical system name of PI. But under this source system if go to check the data sources, I can see many application components coming including z. I am not sure if this is correct, PI doesn't have any application components and datasources. PFA Attaching a screenshot for reference.
3..I have tried to search documents on BI and PI integration but most documents are of the older versions(2004s) and I am currently using 7.3,would appreciated if someone can provide any step by step doc for same. The older version documents are also not very clear.
4..The approach will be to create web service datasource. After creation of a webservice and a function module of the same name will be generated. The generated web service will be used in proxy to pick data from PI. Please correct me if I am wrong in this approach.
5.Apart from creating the webservice source system is there any activity/table entry/configration to be done in BI for connection with PI.
6.How do we handle delta in XML data sources??
