Sales extraction IS-U / Update Groups

Hi all,

 

I'm currently working on the standard sales extraction from IS-U to BW, ín which I'm adding some new data (columns) to the standard structure BIW_ISU_ESTA of datasource 0UC_SALES_STATS_01. IS-U has already gone live, but without the update groups (data element STAFO) correctly assigned. Therefore almost no data is extracted to BW. We now did some customizing in IS-U which results in correct assignment of the update group (SISU). This in turn gives me some data in the extractor checker (RSA3). This only works if we create a new billing and invoicing. But in production system, we already have lots of records WITHOUT any statistic groups. Is there a way to assign the statistic group to these already existing print documents (table DBERZH1 for example)? Is there a standard program or a transaction to do this?

Extraction from multiple data source

Hi Experts,

 

I am new to SAP BI and need information for a simple requirement that I have.

 

I need some basic understanding and information on the below topics so that I can build the customer balance report.

 

1. Where can I find the RDBMS table relations or the database diagrams for all SAP business applications such as FICO and SD?

 

Exa: Customer and the related tables where the customer id would be the primary key.

Customer master data table, customer site, contacts, bank details, AR invoices for the customer, receipt made by the customer etc.. and the diagram which depicts the relationship.

 

Please note this question is not specific to Customer, I want to learn to find the data source and relation diagrams of various SAP applications.

 

2. I want to know if I have to load all customer data from multiple tables or data source into DSO where should I create the relation between these tables?

 

Any productive input will be highly appreciated. Please reply back with detailed information. Thanks in advance.

deleting Outbound Queue in SMQ1

I've some weird issues where I can;t delete the queue in ECC DEV.

I need to delete the Queue name MCEX02  / DEstination = None.

 

** Please note the ECC DEV not connected to any of BI instances.

 

I need to enhance the datasource but cannot do as per above issues.

 

 

When I login into client 888 ,

 

I can;t find the queue name MCEX02.

Real Time Save of CRM Custom Field to SAP BW

I would like to know, if we create a custom field for a Promotion in CRM, then how to transfer the field and its value to SAP BW as soon as we save the promotion?

Component issue 0CRM_SRV_IBASE_ATTR

Hello,

 

In CRM Ibase, if a user deleted a component yesterday, SAP changes the valid_to date as yesterday for that component.

[ In IB52 if i display yesterday's date i can see this deleted record. ]

 

However Extractor 0CRM_SRV_IBASE_ATTR sends the header and component details of an Ibase, 'valid at the moment' today.

It is not sending the info about the deleted component, as it considers it invalid today.

 

So as per BW, the component is still valid as it did not get the valid_to update.

 

When user runs the BW report, it still shows the component which he deleted in CRM, and that's an issue.

Please advise how to solve this.

Transfer BI content from one project to another project

Hi Gurus,

 

 

we are planning to create something like a value added sandbox system and activate all standard business content and some common solutions, so the standard content and additional solutions can be ported over from this box to new projects in future .

 

1)If we activate the BI content and get in a transport request in sandbox and import this transport in a new project without activating the BI content again there?

2) Is there a better way to port over these solutions from one project to other project?

3) When we do this porting over will the datasources be a problem as the source systems will be different from the sand box and the new project?

4) Is there any common solutions that we can develop in BI that will be useful to be ported over to new projects?

standard data source deleted after a copy

Hi gurus!,

 

I was trying to make a change into the data source  CRM_COMPLAINTS_I inside CRM system because I did not want to changge the standard one.

 

However, I copied it as ZCRM_COMPLAINTS_I , after that I can not use the standard data source CRM_COMPLAINTS_I.

 

I can see and activate it at the RSA5, but once I try to test the data at the RSA3  I can see this message:

 

"DataSource CRM_COMPLAINTS_I is not defined in the source system"

 

 

Message no. RJ002

 

 

How can I use it again? I have tried activating it at the RSA5 but no success by now.

 

Any suggestion?

Unable to transport 0CALMONTH

Unable to assign development class to 0CALMONTH, hence its preventing us to transport to Target BW environments. Even though you get into 0CALMONTH in edit mode, system does not allow to change the Development Class.

- By some reason the Original system is assigned to 'SAP' instead of 'BWX' ( Myself system name).

 

Did anyone experience similar issue, any help on this matter would be appreciated.

rsa3 no data, but the delta is working..

Hi gurus,

 

Need to check any reason why ..this is from PRD ,

 

When I did check rsa3,

 

2LIS_11_V_SCL

2LIS_11_VASCL   


all this datasource do not have data.. return 0 records,


but in the loading  in DSO, the delta working fine,,, everyday have new delta in the DSO,


any reason behide this situation.

02 LIS_02_ITM and ITS Extractor Logic confusion

Hello BW Champs

 

I have a question that concerns the behavior of the extraction done by 02LIS_02_ITM extractor. All that is confusing me is the extraction of Items that have been marked for deletion. It picks up even those POs which have all of their Items marked for deletion. Can some one explain that why is it doing so. I haven�t touched the extractor yet. Further a small functional question , the TRANSFER PROCESS KEY for purchasing that I am using for updating the data in purchasing cubes is 001,005,011,021. This usually matches the data for me in ECC (specially aggregated).

2LIS_04_P_ARBPL Extractor field PVZNR 'Superordinate Operation'

Hi Experts,

We have couple of issues with the extractor 2LIS_04_P_ARBPL and need input.

 

1. Our process orders has main operation and multiple phases for the operation. Example operation '0005' is main operation and operations 0006 to 0009 are phases of the operation 0005. Operation 0006-0009 shows operation 0005 as Superordinate Operation.

I noticed that when order is extracted in BI, we're getting only operations 0006-0009 (phases) and not operation 0005. Is this the std. feature or are we missing any configuration?

 

2. We noticed that the extractor 2LIS_04_P_ARBPL doesn't bring the field PVZNR 'Superordinate Operation'. What logic should be implemented to extract PVZNR in BI?

DataSource: 2LIS_04_P_COMP is not fetching records for Month: Sept, 2014...

Dear All,

 

I'm working with SAP NetWeaver BW 7.3 and I have my data flow as DataSource-->DSO-->InfoCube. I have been using this DataSource data for last year or so. But today, one of the report showed that it is missing records for (Month: 09, Year: 2014). I went to ERP system executed RSA3 with this DataSource and when I put filter on Date (20140901 to 20140930) it did not show any record. When I checked for Aug, 2014 it showed me records and when I checked for current month Oct, 2014 it also fetched records.

 

1. What could be the reason that I'm unable to fetch records for the month: September, 2014 for this datasource: 2LIS_04_P_COMP?

2. Do I need to ask for the help of PP Functional consultant to identify the issue and resolve it?

3. Have I missed something as I'm not getting data for this particular month?

4. What is the cause of this issue and how am I able to resolve it?

5. I have initialized delta for this datasource and getting my delta requests every day, but even "Repair Full Load" request is not fetching records for this month? Why

Generic extraction Using View

Dear Experts,

 

My requirement is to extract data from 2 tables T7EHS00_SRV_EXA & T7EHS00_EXA_TXT.

I have created view based on the below condition.

But my view shows only 3 records as below. But i want to fetch all the records to BW. IS it not possible with view? If not, shall i create 2 datasources for each table and load into 2  dso and merge into single DSO using lookup? Please guide me..

Need help in Understanding the ECC Extraction log

Hi,

 

We have a process chain in BI, where we are extracting data from ECC.

 

We went in and looked at the request in SM37 on the ECC Side.

 

 

Below is a snippet of the same:

1) What is happening in the 5 Minute Window? (We have already checked that we have Free Work Processes)

2) Also can you help us understand the above snippet?

I'm using 2LIS_02_SGR also in my project, I checked the fileds in 0PUR_DS03 and 0PUR_O01 but not all the files that I need in the DS exists in these two DSOs.

 

Is there another DSO that could be useful for me in GR?

Rename PRDHA Standard Product Hierarchy or Change hierarchy in Infopackage

Hello Experts,

We replaced an existing custom product hierarchy that we called Product Family with PRDHA, the standard Product Hierarchy using data source 0PROD_HIER_LPRH_HIER. 

 

Does anyone know if it is possible to rename 'PRDHA' to "Product Family'? 

 

We run BOBJ reports against BEx/BICS connections.  If I delete the custom product hiearchy 'Product Family', the Analysis for OLAP reports fail.  If I create a copy of PRDHA hierarchy and name it 'Product Family', they work.  But the data load is tied to PRDHA.  The InfoPackage lists it by name. 

 

I tried to pick the other hierarchy in the InfoPackage, but I am unable to do that as well.  Any ideas on how to pick a different hiearchy from the InfoPackage?

Does BI RDA for standard datasource work?

Hi

 

I am have problem trying to running a RDA via 'Real time extraction via SAP System' adapter. I did so by changing the datasource to real time. I used a custom program to update ROOSOURCE to check it as real time. I made changes to 0MATERIAL_ATTR and 0ARTICLE_ATTR datasource

 

As stated in this thread

Real Time Datasource - Conversion

 

However, when i try running it with Daemon for delta extract, i get the message 'Errors in source system' and 'Error occur in the data selection'. I ran regular delta (non real time infopackages) it works fine.

 

I check the RDA job via sm37 and this is the error log i get.

Install BI content for statistics in INFOAREA

Hi,

 

We are in release 730 with SP 11 and BI_CONT is in release 737 with SP 7, we want to do some statistics with 0TCTIFAREA, I check BI content and I don't think that we have this fully installed for doing this.

 

As is the first time that we will do this, can you please explain me how we do it?

NewGL 0FI_GL_10 Delta Extraction

Dear BW Experts,

I have a query for delta of 0FI_GL_10:

 

in ROOSOURCE table for this datasource : 3600 is maintained for field: "Safety Intrerval for Delta Selection- Low".

 

Does this mean that I can load delta for this datasource after every hour???

But this doesn't work for me????

 

Please give some details related to delta of this datasource.

 

With respect to following info from two sap notes, I should be able to load delta multiple times a day.

 

Additional Information:

Note 1523670 - BW delta extraction: Setting the safety intervals

"The lower safety interval of 1 hour allows for a real-time extraction; however, it causes the data to be extracted twice due to the overlapping time interval, which negatively affects the performance and the volume of data in the BW system."

 

Note 1392817 - Description of the delta procedures for extracting balances

"Here is a description of the individual procedures and their advantages and disadvantages:

 

1. Delta determination using the procedure AIED (for example, DataSource 0FI_GL_10)

 

If you choose this delta procedure, in step one, the TIMESTAMP field in the totals table is used to select all records that have been changed since the last delta load. In step two, all logically dependent records of these records (for example, the credit record for a debit record) are selected and transferred to BW.

 

Advantages:

- Posting is allowed during the delta initialization

- Data exists in BW in realtime"
